Australia, Centennial International Exhibition Medal, Melbourne 1888 by The Melbourne Mint, bronze, 7.5cm. dia, obv. Veiled bust of Victoria facing left with title, rev. "Artieus Dignis Honor Insignis" surrounded by oak and mimosa (?) wreaths. Rim impressed "Hayward Bros. and Eckstein" EF.
Hayward Brothers were involved in the production of semi-prism glass pavement lights for lighting basements and ironwork. The company continued until the 1970's
