Building Trades Exhibition Medal 1887, by J.Moore, bronze gilt, 5cm. dia., obv. central standing female holding wreaths above the heads of two seated labourers, rev. eight line inscription within wreath "Awarded by the Society of Architects to Hayward Brothers & Eckstein for the superiority in workmanship and material", rim impressed "London Exhibition 1887". EF.
Hayward Brothers were involved in the production of semi-prism glass pavement lights for lighting basements and ironwork. The company continued until the 1970's
